The Santa Monica Republican Women Federated has been active in Santa Monica since 1957. We are associated with the National Federation of Republican Women (NFRW), the California Federation of Republican Women CFRW) and the Los Angeles County Federation of Republican Women (LACFRW). The NFRW is the largest women’s volunteer political organization in the world with thousands of active members who belong to unit clubs throughout the 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Guam in the Virgin Islands. 

The SMRWF holds monthly luncheon meetings, usually on the second Wednesday. These meetings feature a variety of programs and speakers during the year, including candidate forums and discussions of statewide and local ballot measures before the primary and general elections. The club publishes a monthly newsletter. 

During even-numbered (election) years we work together with the Santa Monica Republican Headquarters Political Action Committee and other local Republican organizations to sponsor and staff Santa Monica Republican headquarters from Labor Day until the November election. We also work with the headquarters committee to produce a Republican Voter Guide that is mailed in October of even–numbered years to every Republican household in Santa Monica. 

Our members are active in Republican voter registration efforts, particularly at the New Citizen Swearing–in ceremonies. We provide election information to our members and the public. The club supports many community organizations and activities, such as the annual Grad Night program at Santa Monica High School, the Santa Monica YWCA Housing Program and the Salvation Army Auxiliaries “Christmas” in September benefit. Many of our members are politically active, holding and/or running for partisan and non-partisan elective office. Other members of the Republican County Central Committee, the California Republican Party and other local, county, statewide and national Republican organizations.

We also hold mixers, both live and Zoom, and debate and election parties. Please check this website under events for the latest update on location. This gives members, spouses and friends an opportunity to get together and make new, like-minded friends. Many men attend and be sure to bring friends who want to hear more!

Members of the Santa Monica Republican Women Federated are encouraged to participate in programs put on by the NFRW, the CFRW and the LACFRW as well as programs sponsored by other Federated clubs. Many men join us as associate members in order to receive the newsletter and attend the meetings.
