Please join us at the Griffin Club on Wednesday, June 11 featuring conservative scholar William Voegeli, who holds the Left accountable with facts, logic and wit. Mr. Voegeli is a Senior Fellow of the Claremont Institute, a Senior Editor of the Claremont Review of Books, and author of two very powerful books for conservatives. In his book Never Enough: America’s Limitless Welfare State, Mr. Voegeli contends that there are never enough government entitlement programs to satisfy liberals. In Pity Party: A Mean-Spirited Diatribe Against Liberal Compassion, Mr. Voegeli gives a reasoned critique of the politics of liberal compassion and why liberals’ lack of interest in the results of their policies renders them unfit to govern. Mr. Voegeli’s articles and reviews have appeared in the City Journal, Commentary, Los Angeles Times, National Review, The New Criterion, The Federalist, Hoover Institution, Real Clear Politics, and many other publications. He has produced two short videos for PragerU, “Who’s more compassionate: The Left or the Right?” and “Government: Is it ever big enough?” which explore these complex issues and offer some very clear answers. Also joining us in June is Lucky Basseri, a 17 year old conservative writer, speaker, and activist who’s spoken at more than 80 events across the country. He has been featured by Fox News, Newsmax, and OAN, called “Ben Shapiro 2.0” by Michael Knowles, and hailed as “the future of conservatism” by Secretary Pete Hegseth. Advance registration required by Monday, June 2. $58 for members; $68 for nonmembers/guests. Free valet parking.
