On Wednesday, September 10, please join us at the Griffin Club for a luncheon featuring the always entertaining and insightful free market warrior Loren Spivak. Always with a fresh take, Loren examines the issues of our time through the eyes of an economist and reveals fundamental truths underlying the political challenges we face. He writes unique parodies designed to teach conservative principles and offers conservative critiques in a humorous way. In 2009, he founded “Free Market Warrior” in an effort to make a positive difference in American politics and economics. His Free Market Warrior store was expelled from Concord Mills Mall in North Carolina for selling material critical of the Obama Administration. Loren is a popular speaker at Republican and conservative events and has delivered his famous seminar on “Economic Literacy” to over 200 groups in 20 states. Our September luncheon will also feature Michael Mische, the USC professor who was attacked by Gavin Newsom for predicting that California gas prices will increase. Widely quoted in the media, including the Wall Street Journal, San Jose Mercury News and Los Angeles Times, Professor Mische is recognized as one of the world’s foremost authorities on management consulting. He is highly regarded for his published research on oil and gasoline prices, as well as his major paper on Bidenomics, which is considered one of the most comprehensive comparative examinations of the U.S. economy for the 2019 to 2023 period. Professor Mische has been on the faculty of USC’s Marshall School of Business since 1997 and is a former consulting principal in the global firms of KPMG and A.T. Kearney and former CEO of the Synergy Consulting Group. Advance registration required by Sunday, August 31. $58 for members; $68 for nonmembers/guests. Free valet parking.
